It’s here! It’s here! HOUSE OF SALT AND SORROWS’ artwork was unveiled in an exclusive cover release with USA Today: Happily Ever After!
Isn’t it just STUNNING?! I couldn’t be more pleased with all the work my cover designer, Alison Impey, and the artists at Vault 49 put into this. It strikes a perfect balance of the lush nautical vibes I have woven throughout the book and the haunting beauty that lingers at Highmoor like a ghostly fingerprint smudged against a lighthouse window.
I loved getting to see how the cover evolved, from me writing out themes and images I loved, styles and important items, to the initial concept, the first look, and then the splashy, gorgeous reveal. And it’s still not finished! Just today, my AMAZING editor, Wendy Loggia, tweeted a picture of the advance reader copies arriving at the Delacorte offices. HOW INCREDIBLE IS THAT RAISED FOIL TITLE?! I can’t stop swooning!
When the hardbacks release on August 6th, 2019, there will be even more beautiful surprises inside! I can’t give away anything just yet, but you’re going to want to make sure to order yourself a copy or ten! If you’d like to preorder, please consider checking out Underline’s page for HOUSE OF SALT AND SORROWS and make sure to save your receipts… more on THAT later! (squee!)
